Vintage Napkin Holder

Good Morning, Sweeties….This is a napkin holder I recently found at the thrift shop. It is begging to be updated. I am working on my booth for the Due Sorella Vintage Market June 6th here in Carson City NV and want my booth to have some color. I have been dyeing vintage linens and am going to be painted my thrift shop finds to match. It is going to be fabulous. This baby is going to get a little aqua treatment.

So far, the vintage linens are in shades of lavender, aqua, fuchsia, red and cabbage (spring green). It was suggested to me to color block my booth. the more I think about it, the happier it makes me. I can see it in my head.

I sanded the napkin holder lightly and  painted with acrylic paint. It took 3 coats to get the coverage I wanted. I wished I had painted it black first. I lightly sanded the edges and in my eyes, it turned out perfect. I am in love with it and am already on the look-out for another one to paint for myself.

Yes, I still have my Easter tablecloth on the table.  It is just so bright and cheery and the past few days have been a little cloudy and dark. I hope and pray all is bright with your world. Have a Fabulous Day!!
